Maybe George Clooney looked like he was in a poopy mood at the Oscars this year because he had to sit through almost four hours of drivel knowing he wasn’t going to win Best Actor. How was he so sure his fellow nominee Jeff Bridges was going to take the prize home? For starters, Clooney voted for him.

Yep, a rumor surfaced this week that Clooney voted for Bridges for his role in Crazy Heart, instead of doing the typical vote-for-yourself thing. He then sent Bridges a photo of the ballot and told him “If you don’t win, you can’t blame me.” Page Six spoke with Clooney’s rep who confirmed the story, saying “Story is true. According to George, ‘It was an amazing performance.’” Which just goes to show that while we think we’re so helpful sending a $10 text to Haiti and occasionally giving our spare pennies to the Starbucks baristas, George brings being a good person to a new level. We still don’t get why this comes so soon after the Oscars, but last night’s ShoWest Awards were redeemed by Katherine Heigl’s dress, which broke a during her Female Star Of The Year acceptance speech and almost revealed a prized part of her anatomy. Heigl impressively succeeded in catching the strap before we got a look at her star-shaped aureole pastie, proving just how badly she’s determined to keep nude screencaps of herself off the web. Despite how it looks in the above photo, Billy Bush did not just pull a Justin Timberlake on her.

The FABlife sat down with Runaways stars Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning, as well as director Floria Sigismondi, and executive producer Joan Jett to chat about the new film, which left us energized and giddy after going into it with mediocre expectations. The round table interviews were a rare opportunity to pick the brains of two of Hollywood’s most promising actresses, a debut director, and a rock goddess. Needless to say, our hearts were racing faster than post-kiss Bella’s to be in their presence.

The petite duo entered the interview dressed casually chic, in flannel, v-neck tees, leggings, and sneakers. We can’t go on without gushing about how gorgeous KStew - or shall we say KStunning - is in person, even with a grown-out rocker ‘do in dire need of a dye job. With milky skin, striking blue-green eyes, and little freckles adorning her nose; the girl truly has both talent and knockout beauty. Swooning aside, they sat close to each other as they answered questions and finished each others’ sentences, showing how tight they’ve become while filming both The Runaways and The Twilight Saga.

With scenes laden with lingerie, leather, and drugs still resonating in our minds, we had one burning question for 16-year-old Dakota: how did her parents initially react to the script?

“My mom actually read it first and told me that I needed to read it. [laughs] My parents know that this is something that I want to do forever. And obviously, as you get older, there are different things that you can do in films. I think they accepted that I was probably going to be doing those things a long time ago. My parents get it. They understand and support me in the choices that I make.”

Though Steve and Joy Fanning may have expected Dakota to venture into mature roles, we were certainly shocked to see the little girl from I Am Sam writhing about in the famous “Cherry Bomb” corset. Easing the mind of the Fannings and parents everywhere was Sigismondi’s directorial intention. The hyper-sexual nature of The Runaways is about female empowerment rather than voyeurism and objectification. Joan Jett and Cherie Currie were young, empowered girls rebelling against 1970s society by being brash, raunchy, and loud. We talked to the amazingly-modest and incredibly-likable Jett about her rise to fame as a woman in rock n’ roll. When asked if it’s true that a woman must work twice as hard as a man to make it big, Jett gave us a [meaningful] mouthful:

“Where a strong man is a leader, a strong woman is a bitch or a c*nt. And I’m only using words that they say to us, okay? … I don’t know why there aren’t more women playing rock and roll, but if there is a reason, that would be one of them. Because it’s just a pain in the ass to get beat up for just playing music. If you’re going to pick on someone, pick on them for being mean, or nasty, or something that’s tangible, that’s real. To insult them for playing music because you don’t like seeing a woman on stage, just don’t watch it.”

Wise words from a revolutionary rocker. Naturally being the pesky Twi-hards we are, we couldn’t leave the interview on that deep, inspiring note. We had to get the dish on KStew’s maybe-boyfriend Robert Pattinson! A loyal confidant of Stewart, Jett just laughed and said:

“I didn’t ask her much about her life because when you cultivate a friendship, and certainly with someone whose that much in the public eye, I’m going to let her talk to me and tell me what she wants to tell me. I’m not going to be another one of these people going ’so are you really going out with him?’”

Sorry Robsten hopefuls, we gave it a shot.

Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning have good news for the citizens of America: The days of no talent attention whores running the entertainment world with their DUIs and vag flashes are over. The stunning actresses - who possess both talent and brains! - walked the red carpet together at the Runaways premiere, exhibiting the kind of hotness normally only found in movies where the nerd girl gets made over into beauty queen as part of some sort of dare.

But their shield of PG-13 sexiness could do nothing to prevent cloud of crazy Kirstie Alley from raining on their parade. The soon-to-be reality star and all around crazy lady showed up in clothes borrowed from a high school English Lit teacher. For the love of Xenu, why the hell was she there?

While both Kristen and Dakota looked drop-dead, each young starlet certainly has their own style. KStew went for a leggy glam rock look, while Dakota was shimmery n’ sweet. Whose look do you prefer?

Remember Me, Robert Pattinson? How could we ever forget you? Even if you never top Twilight at the box office, you’ll always be the British dreamboat who could not keep his hand out of his hair on red carpets in the late ’00s and early ’10s. Pattinson stuck true to form at the London premiere of Remember Me earlier today, signing pictures, posing with co-star Emilie de Ravin, playing with his wild locks and giving us the wry, knowing stares so many rely on to get them through the day, like a sexy “hang in there” cat poster. No, RPattz, you shouldn’t worry about being forgotten.

While we think it’s great Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone came out to support the 32nd Annual New York City Police Foundation Gala last night, we’re more than a little surprised the boys in blue wanted to bring these two back together for their fundraiser. In case you’ve forgotten, Basic Instinct—the film that forever linked their careers—starred Douglas as a recovering coke-addict police detective haunted by his accidental shooting of two tourists, now caught in a sexy web of deception by bisexual author and potential serial killer Stone, who bribed another officer to provide confidential information. Almost forgot—Douglas’s character was nailing the police psychologist, too. Is this the kind of movie the NYPD wants fresh in our minds while seeking donations? Then again, it was set in San Francisco.

With Ryan Reynolds and Chris Hemsworth likely to get a career boost from playing the respective titular superheroes in Green Lantern and Thor (though, as Brandon “Superman” Routh and Gabriel “The Spirit” Macht can attest, there’s no guarantee it will work), every aspiring hunk in Hollywood seems to be fighting for the chance to play World War II’s most powerful patriot in 2011’s The First Avenger: Captain America.

Though early buzz boys Matthew McConaughey and John Krasinski are presumed out of the running (were they ever really in?), there are plenty of studs left to consider. Everyone from Chace Crawford to Chris Evans to Dane Cook has reportedly auditioned, with Channing Tatum and Ryan Phillippe most recently thrown into the mix. Since Cap is scheduled to be found frozen in ice by Iron Man, the Hulk and Thor in Marvel’s 2012 superhero pile-up The Avengers, scoring this gig could set a young star up for life.
